Shop Nashville is a city-wide celebration designed to encourage and support the local retail and maker community with creative and interactive ways to support our Nashville businesses. Shop our daily special events and promotions throughout the city at a wide variety of your favorite businesses on Tuesday, August 4 through Saturday, August 8. Our retail partners and several designers will host their own unique event and/or offer special discounts next week. All of these participating businesses, as well as several others that could not participate at this time, have made a donation to the Nashville Fashion Forward Fund of the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee to show their support for our local fashion community. Please make plans to shop and support all of these retailers next week. Our independent businesses need us more than ever at this time!

Shop Nashville Events Include:

• Cosmetic Market will go live on Instagram at 4 p.m. Wednesday with Oribe to discuss hair, fashion and upcoming hair trends for fall 2020. They will offer a special Oribe gift during and after their event with any Oribe purchase.

• Enjoy the Brides by Glitz Nashville Mother of the Bride and Groom Fashion Show on Facebook Live on Thursday at 5 p.m.

• Emerson Grace will host a spotlight on style from Nashville creatives and tastemakers in their 12South store on Thursday at 5 p.m. Follow along on Facebook and Instagram too to see what these local trendsetters are coveting this summer. 

• Artist Ashley Trabue Studio is creating a small batch of NFW designer-inspired PORTALS that will draw their palette, mood, and elements from each designer's collection. She will host her NFW Mini Release on Instagram on Friday, August 7 at 9 p.m.

NFW Learning Lab and Shop Nashville UPDATE

As we continue to monitor the latest developments regarding COVID-19, we have made the decision to postpone our NFW Learning Labs and Shop Nashville events to August as well.

Nashville Fashion Week 2019 is going BOLD! We've got a jam-packed schedule with seventy-five events planned next week and we look forward to celebrating with you! Nashville Fashion Week 2019 officially kicks off on Monday, April 1 with Nashville's first FREE fashion-focused Sustainable Summit moderated by Fern Mallis at oneC1TY and quickly ramps up with close to fifty Shop Nashville events, four more Learning Labs, four nights of runway shows featuring twenty local and regional designers in partnership with OZ Arts Nashville, our official NFW After Party presented by Dream Nashville and we close out the week with the 5th Annual Fashion Forward Gala. And don't forget about the Men's Style Event this Wednesday night at Dream Nashville with an After Party for guests at Snitch! There is literally something for everyone!

NFW Learning Labs are designed to showcase the local fashion community by providing a platform to engage, learn and connect and each of these unique educational experiences do just that.

SUSTAINABILITY: Join us on Monday, April 1 at oneC1TY for our Sustainable Summit, an interactive event that will include Nashville's first fashion-focused discussion on sustainability. Our panel of industry leaders - Chrissy Fogerty, Fauxgerty; Barrett Ward, ABLE; David Prentice, OnPoint Manufacturing and fashion designer Van Hoang, our 2018 Nashville Fashion Forward Fund recipient - will share their insights on how to turn ideas into action and experiences with sustainability. The Nashville Fashion Forward Fund of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee invites you to celebrate and support the entrepreneurial spirit of Nashville’s creative arts and fashion community with Nashville Fashion Week and our partner OZ Arts Nashville at the Fifth Annual Nashville Fashion Forward Fund Gala on Saturday, April 6 at OZ Arts Nashville. This is the fourth year that Nashville Fashion Week will present its Nashville Fashion Forward Awards at the Fashion Forward Gala to recognize community leaders that have made an impact on the Nashville fashion industry. The Emerging Designer Application Is Now LIVE!

APPLICATIONS FOR NASHVILLE FASHION WEEK 2019 EMERGING DESIGNERS AND THE 2018 NASHVILLE FASHION FOWARD FUND AWARD ARE NOW BEING ACCEPTED

ARE YOU READY FOR THE RUNWAY?

Nashville Fashion Week is on the search for emerging designers to spotlight during our April 2019 event. Applicants must demonstrate creativity, quality and a broad appeal to a wide range of consumers. Select designers will have the opportunity to showcase their collection during Nashville Fashion Week 2019. All designers interested in showing their collections are encouraged to submit their application for review.

The deadline to submit emerging designer applications is 11:59 p.m. CST on Sunday, November 25. Emerging Designers will be notified in December and announced at an official Nashville Fashion Week event early next year. 

Emerging Designer Criteria:

• All emerging designers are encouraged to apply, but preference will be given to those that live in or have connections to Nashville and/or Middle Tennessee

• Each collection must be original designs, debuting at Nashville Fashion Week
  

PLEASE NOTE: Nashville Fashion Week does not charge a submission fee to apply or participate. Designers selected are responsible for their own travel and related expenses, and for transporting their collection to Nashville — as well as all costs associated with designing/creating their looks, including shoes, accessories and music for their runway show. No age restrictions or specific experience is required. However, those under 18 will need parent/guardian permission to apply.
